hi kelsey, i like the way, in the bottom image, that the palm trees are apparent only by their shadows. what do you think would happen if you had more of them, and if their shadows were softened? would you get a more mysterious, atmospheric dappled effect? if you did, or if you tried something analogous with the stage set, maybe photoshop could then be used to change the light color to a cooler hue to emphasize that effect.
